One of our better sources for baby-related info states that at 9 months eye color is pretty much set in stone. Seeing as we're about a week or two shy of 9 months now it looks like those baby-blues are here to stay!

I'd like to take this chance to give everyone a close-up look at what this kid eats when he's not slurpin' down Mama Jen's Private Brew™. This is, I believe, a combo of mashed up avocado and some sort of 'baby oatmeal'. Honestly, it's not much to look at. And, were it served to me, I'd probably lash out angrily, but the Rock eats it dutifully, even happily.

Chubby Duck

This is Rocky in his special post-bath time duck towel. I liked his so much that I had my tailor craft me my own bespoke duck towel. While it garners some strange stares at the sauna, I sleep easily knowing my son and I are united in our fondness for waterfowl based bathwear.

Snoozy Sunday

If there's any one philosophy we adhere to at Chateau Familia Rocky, it's the philosophy of being cozy. It's nice to see that, even at such a young age, Rocky is following in our footsteps.

Ren Faire!

Last weekend we took Rocky to what was his first (but definitely not last) Ren Faire (that's Renaissance Faire for those not familiar with today's abbreviations). Rocky, and his baby friend, Bernard, enjoyed themselves tremendously; eating turkey legs, being served stein after stein of ale from busty wenches, and of course rocking their custom made wizard hats, courtesy of Mom.

Another kinda oldie but goodie:

This video, Rocky - 2 (the long awaited follow up to Rocky- 1, and precursor to the soon to be released Rocky - 3), has really taken the intertubes by surprise. I think it's racked up a total of 100 or so views, which if I had a nickel for each of those, I'd have something around five bucks. Not too much dough, but enough to buy a coffee and a bearclaw, and that's fine by me.
